Airtable introduces Omni and Field Agents
A conversational app builder and AI-powered fields bring automation into Airtable bases, with credits included in its plans.
Airtable began rolling out Omni, a conversational assistant for building apps and working with the data inside them. The release also introduced Field Agents, which run AI tasks within an Airtable base.
Build and work in the same place
Omni can create or change fields, workflows, and interfaces from a description. It also answers questions about a base, bringing app construction and day-to-day data work into the same interface.
Field Agents focus on repeated work across records, including:
- Extracting and summarizing information from documents.
- Researching information on the web to enrich a record.
- Bringing together feedback from calls, support tickets, and surveys.
Credits become part of the plans
Airtable included AI features in all plans and monthly AI credits for paid users, with extra credit packs available. That makes the amount of AI work another part of planning a base, alongside record counts and conventional automations. The Airtable profile describes the platform and its billing model.
