Microsoft introduces Azure AI Foundry
Azure AI Studio evolves into a platform for model access, application development, evaluation, and deployment management.
Microsoft introduced Azure AI Foundry, bringing model access, development tools, and application management into a shared Azure platform. Azure AI Studio would become the portal and management console for the offering.
Build and manage in one place
The announcement combines access to Azure AI services with a new software development kit and tools for testing and evaluating applications. A management center brings connected resources, access permissions, and quota usage into the portal.
These changes address the work around a model: connecting data, inspecting an application's behavior, and managing the Azure resources used to run it.
Agent development alongside model access
Microsoft also introduced Azure AI Agent Service for applications that use business data and tools to carry out tasks. The service was presented with enterprise data connections and options for storage and networking.
The Microsoft Foundry profile covers the platform's current naming, model access, and deployment choices.
