MonkeyLearn launches a word cloud tool with keyword exports
MonkeyLearn adds multi-word keywords, relevance scoring, and CSV exports to a free text-analysis visualization tool.
MonkeyLearn introduced a free word cloud tool on March 12, 2020. Co-founder and CEO Raul Garreta described the release as a way to turn text such as survey answers, reviews, and social-media conversations into a visual summary.
More than counting individual words
The tool detected multi-word keywords and combined frequency with other relevance measures. That helped avoid treating every repeated word as equally useful in a summary. The launch also included controls for the visualization's fonts and colors.
An image and the underlying list
The output included PNG and SVG images, as well as a CSV file containing keywords and relevance values. The exported list made the result usable for further analysis instead of leaving only an image.
The release was a small, accessible example of MonkeyLearn's text-analysis work, separate from its custom classification models. The provider profile records the company's later acquisition and service history.
