Nebius adds Clarifai team and inference technology
Clarifai's core engineering and research team joins Nebius under an agreement focused on inference and compute orchestration.
Nebius announced that Clarifai's core engineering and research team, including founder Matthew Zeiler, would join the company. The agreement also covers inference-related patents and a license to Clarifai's modern inference and compute-orchestration technology.
Building out Token Factory
The technology focuses on how models run across a production system: scheduling compute, coordinating resources, and improving inference execution. Nebius intends to use it to strengthen Token Factory, its managed model-inference platform. Zeiler joins as senior vice president of research.
What changes for Clarifai customers
The announced license excludes Clarifai's legacy computer-vision models and its US government and defense products and arrangements. The companies did not disclose the commercial terms.
Existing Clarifai accounts and contracts need a separate discussion with support; the announcement does not describe an automatic migration.
The Clarifai profile explains the service changes. The Nebius Token Factory profile covers its hosted models, endpoint options, and pricing access.
