Notion announced its acquisition of Automate.io, a service for connecting business applications through automated workflows. Automate.io had built connections to more than 200 software tools over five years.

Integrations alongside the workspace

Notion said the acquisition would support native integrations and development around its recently launched application programming interface (API). The aim was to bring information from other tools into the workspace and reduce manual copying between apps.

Notion said it would continue working with its other integration partners.

The team joins Notion

The Automate.io team established a Notion engineering center in Hyderabad, adding integration expertise alongside the workspace product. The Automate.io profile records the service's later status and options for rebuilding older integrations.
