Workday agrees to acquire Pipedream for app connectivity

The proposed deal adds Pipedream connectors to Workday's plans for agents that work across business applications.

Workday signed an agreement to acquire Pipedream, an integration platform with more than 3,000 connectors to business applications. The proposed combination focuses on agents that retrieve information and carry out work across several systems.

Connect a decision to an action

Pipedream's connectors provide routes into applications such as Jira, Asana, and Slack. Workday described using those connections alongside its own human resources and finance data, so an agent could collect outside information or start a workflow where the work happens.

The plan builds on Workday's earlier acquisition of Flowise , which supplies visual agent-building tools.

An agreement with a planned closing

At the announcement, Workday expected the transaction to close in its fiscal fourth quarter ending January 31, 2026, subject to closing conditions. The integrations described were planned benefits of the combination. The Pipedream profile covers its workflow platform and developer connectivity services.
