Zapier Central becomes Zapier Agents
The beta adds a conversational interface, live business data, and an extension for working across connected applications.
Zapier relaunched Central as Zapier Agents, a beta for setting up AI-driven work across connected business applications. The product uses instructions and a conversational interface to configure an agent's tasks.
Bring business data into the work
The launch expands live data sources, allowing agents to use information from connected documents, databases, and work tools. Chat history and separate conversation threads help organize different tasks.
A Chrome extension brings the agent alongside activity on the web, where it can use the page's context and connected applications. The announcement also includes ready-made templates as starting points.
From fixed automation to instructed tasks
Agents adds another way to configure work on top of Zapier's app connections. The launch remains a beta, with the product developing around early use and feedback. The Zapier profile covers conventional automations, AI-related services, and its usage model.
