Anthropic develops Claude and provides both finished applications and developer services. The Messages API gives direct model access; Managed Agents provides a hosted environment for longer tasks. Available models support text and image input, with tools and capabilities varying by endpoint.
How pricing works
Claude app subscriptions and API billing are separate. API charges distinguish input, output, and prompt-cache activity; some tools add usage charges. Partner cloud deployments follow their own published pricing and availability.
