OpenAI provides finished applications and model APIs. The Responses API supports model requests, tools, and application workflows; the Realtime API supports low-latency interaction including voice. ChatGPT and Codex have their own interfaces and account features, separate from a custom API integration.
How pricing works
API pricing distinguishes model input, cached input, output, and selected tool usage. Audio and image workloads have their own billing units. App subscriptions and API usage are separate products; budget for the actual service receiving requests.
